On a heater

I've recently moved to grinding 12$ 180s only because nick call me a Nit for grinding the 2s. So far I've done pretty well in them but I know that it's just a heater and I wont be fooled and think that I'm the best 12$ 180 grinder in the world. I know that downswing is around the corner and I'm mentally prepared for it. For all of you grinders out there, don't be fooled by an upswing; just treat it like another day at the office. Trust me, you will make things easier for yourself in the long run, which is what grinding is all about.

We got a new grinder in the house who arrived last night, Chris ( aka timber4483 ) from England. A very interesting guy and will be staying with us for 3 weeks. Hopefully he gets use to the house fast and start crushing the 12s.

Now to the main news, Nick is crushing the ME so far and has a very good chance in making a deep run. Everyone in the house is rooting for him and we wish him the very best.

Woke up at like 9 today and grinded till 9. A 12 hour session and I'm exhausted , gonna go knock out soon.

Time to update!

Wow, I have not written in my blog for so long. I guess it's not that big of a deal anyways since nobody really read it except for myself. Anyways, I had a great time in Irvine chilling with my friends and grinding poker but it came to an end. All of my friends were graduating and moving on to the next phase of their life which means we all had to move out because the lease ended in June. Although it was fun living with my friends in Irvine, I got to admit it was not the best environment for a poker player. There were way too many distractions and I couldn't really talk to any of them about my work ( grinding poker ). I was doing good in terms of volume and decent profit through pure hard work but I knew I could do better if I was in a more poker friendly environment. It's crazy because as I had that thought in my head during June, I was invited to the Las Vegas Grind house by Nick Rainey to live there and play poker. When I first heard about it, I was very excited but at the same time unsure if it's such a great idea because I've never done something like this before, to move away to another state and live with people that I've only talked to on the internet. But in the end, I figured that there is just too much I can gain from this experience and if I want to do something like this, I should try it out while I'm still young. So I decided to come out here to Vegas and see things work out.

I moved into the Rainman poker house on June 28th, 2010. It has been about 3 weeks and so far it has been great. When I moved in I met Aaron, Daniel, Foxyshazam, Snowman, Fried Liver, Chip210, Vertek, NestaRasta, Kyle Million, Chase, Channing, and Nick. Everyone was very nice and I had my own lil station set up for me when I moved in. The environment here at the poker house was exactly what I had hoped for, I've grinded more games and has been more focused than ever while I am here. At the same time, I could talk to everyone here about all the tough spots and they would understand and give me feedbacks. I felt like I've become a better poker player than I was 3 weeks ago and will keep on improving. Hopefully by the time I leave the grind house I will be able to have the ability to play the best poker at all time and make the best decision for every single hand.
